Scarce Incuse-Design Gold Indian
|
| Unlike other U.S. coinage, the $2.50 and $5 Indian series featured designs that were incused; that is, sunk into the metal versus raised above the surface. Disdain for the coin in the early 1900s meant few were saved, so nice examples, like these About Uncirculated specimens, are tough to find. |
